Questions and Answers about Sunday Worship
In Isaiah 1:18, God says, "Come, let us reason together." Our worship revolves around God's Word. We believe God's Word is true and therefore useful in our services. Expect a conversation between God and His people; including confession of sin and confession of our faith in Christ. Also, expect warm, friendly people who love one another.
11AM
As the Bible says, "Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7). More important than how you dress is that you come with a heart for worshiping God (1 Peter 3:3-4). But, we do believe that worship is a foretaste of heaven, and we dress respectfully. Whatever you wear, come to glorify Him (1 Corinthians 10:31).
“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for of such as these is the kingdom of heaven” (Mark 10:14). The pastor loves babies and toddlers and welcomes them with open arms, just as Christ did. He even loves them when they run past the pulpit during the sermon. The pastor addresses the children in his preaching weekly. We want to see our kids raised in the church. Bring your children to where they can learn to worship God and grow up knowing Him and His Word.
The Bible teaches, "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7). Worship is an act of thanksgiving to God for His mercy! We welcome an offering of thanks. As Jesus taught, God values a small offering given with a thankful heart more than a large gift without gratitude (Mark 12:41-44).
Other Frequent Questions
We are called by God to be given to prayer (Acts 6:4). Wednesday evening we hear a brief teaching from Scripture and we pray. There is also a program for kids catechism beginning at 6:30 PM. This is a good time to get to know one another.
Come anytime after 6PM. Outside food is allowed and encouraged. Come, eat together, hear God, and pray.
As a mission church, it's easy to find a place in our fellowship. We are many parts of one Body. We need someone to take on light administrative duties and men of character to read Scripture. We also are in need of a pianist who will bring his talent to worship. Prospective members go through a membership class, BIBLE PRES 101, and give their personal testimony.
Discipleship is crucial for our walk with Christ. To encourage your walk with God, we offer:
